Join Doctor Val, Debbie, CW, Dr. Rutledge and Ken Cousens as they discuss the history of Shambala and her mission with the big cats.
The Roar Foundation, founded in 1983 by Tippi Hedren, exists solely to support the abandoned exotic felines at Shambala Preserve. Her mission is to educate the public about the dangers of private ownership of exotic animals. Huge numbers of dangerous animals are bred and sold in the United States for illegal purposes. Private ownership presents a grave danger to the public and is cruel and unfair. More stringent legislation is needed to prohibit breeding and selling. Taking care of them properly means the preserve needs help – help you can give.
